In 1913 the Mission of St. Gregory was established by Bishop Paul Nussbaum. Located on the corner of what is now Franklin & Liberty Streets. It was a one room wooden structure and was maintained by Rockport. Mass was recited once a month. The area at the time was mainly brushland and farmland.

In 1925 construction began on the 1st Immaculate Conception Church on what is the exact site of the current Church. The Church was a large white frame structure that also housed the priest's quarters separated by a hallway between the two and also had a choir loft. The church was completed in December 1926 and consecrated by Bishop Emmanuel Ledvina and at this time the Mission of St. Gregory was elevated to Parish and was renamed Immaculate Conception.

After years of wear and tear the Original Church structure came in desperate need of repair afer years of neglect. It was the decision of Rev. Paul Okros to build a new structure to serve as our parish church. In 1964 the 2nd church structure was erected and dedicated. This building has served our community for the better part of 50 years. He also proposed a new structure to serve as a priest's quarters and office; this structure would later become our current office & chapel building.
In 1970 Hurrican Celia either severely damaged or destroyed 60% of the parish grounds including: the old nuns convent, catholic elementary school, parish hall however the church remained undamaged. Due to the Hurricane a new parish hall (current CCD building) and a new CCD building (current site of New Church) was constructed.

In April of 2012 a flash flood struck the Community of Gregory and terribly damaged a good portion of the town. This flood also destroyed several of our parish buildings including St. Vincent de Paul, Religious Education, Parish Office & OUR CHURCH. As a result, then Pastor Rev. Raju Thottankara & parishioners of Immaculate Conception agreed that it was in the best and safest interest that we convert our parish hall into our new Church.
This building was originally constructed in 1998 by then Pastor Rev. Bob Dunn; it was his original intent to make this building the new parish church. However, at the time many parishioners hesitated to the idea which resulted in the building being used as a parish hall. Renovations on the current church began in January 2015 by Pastor Rev. James Puthenparambil, renovations were completed in July 2015, and the Church was dedicated on August 1,2015. Making this the 3rd structure church of Immaculate Conception.
